This is a big time of year for tech and gadgets, as the Consumer Electronics Show has been going on in Las Vegas. Here are 5 cool things we’ve been reading about that were on display at CES this year.
1) The Pebble Smart Watch, with Bluetooth, customizable with tons of apps, and super attractive besides. $150 each.
2) Eton’s Boost Turbine 2000 hand-crank phone charger. For the next hurricane that comes our way.
3) A 2TB solid state hard drive (SSD) for desktop computers, from Other World Computing. This gets a little technical, but it means essentially that you can get lots of space plus lots of speed in your computer. It won’t be available for laptops, just for desktops at first–because of its larger size. It will be super crazy expensive, but the price will come down eventually.
4) MyCharge rechargeable iPhone battery–one of the first ones available for use with iPhone 5 but can also charge BlackBerry, Motorola, Samsung, older iPhones, and iPads. Gives you 13 or 27 hours of talk time.
5) Yes, you can use an iPad to keep your toddler happy while potty training, with this insane piece of plastic. No, I don’t think it’s a joke…
