This week was the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We didn’t go to CES but we’ve been reading lots of articles and blog posts.
Here are what some of the top tech websites said were their top picks from CES.
Mashable
They loved the giant curved 4K (super high resolution) TV, that’s 105” diagonal. They also liked the steel version of the Pebble smartwatch, the EyeLock iris scanner for security, and the Makerbot industrial 3D printer that can make huge objects.
Engadget
They gave awards to products including the Jaybird Reign, which you wear to track your health and fitness, the Oculus Rift “virtual reality” viewer (just a prototype unfortunately – not available in stores yet!), and the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact phone.
The Verge
They liked the Urb-e for “personal transportation”—it’s like a cross between a bike and a stool, with a battery built in. And the Parrot Minidrone. As well as the Pebble.

Highlights: The Oculus Rift viewer, Mophie’s iPhone battery pack that also provides additional iPhone storage, and Razer’s modular computer.
PC Mag
They thought the Asus computer that transforms into a tablet was cool. They also loved the Typo, a case that puts a BlackBerry-like keyboard on your iPhone. They focused on the mini MakerBot 3D printer as well.
