For enterprise Mac users, Apple dropped a mini-bombshell today: in less than three months, they will discontinue their XServe line of rack-mounted “blade” servers, to be replaced by the existing Mac Mini Snow Leopard Server, and a new configuration of the Mac Pro preconfigured with Snow Leopard Server. They are not indicating this has any implications for those products, but it is noteworthy that the one Apple computer designed exclusively for enterprise use is no more.
Anyone want to buy a used XServe? Cheap?
