Last week made us all realize how crucial technology is to our daily lives. It’s hard to go even a day without our mobile phones, given that it’s the way we stay in touch with everyone we know–from phone calls to emails to text messages to Facebook and Twitter updates.
Here are some solutions for keeping your iPhone charged !
(We haven’t tried any of these ourselves; if you have, let us know how they work for you!)
1. Minty Boost
Make your own USB charger for your iPhone using an Altoids tin, two AA batteries, and a few other items. You do need soldering skills for this one. Assemble your own items or buy the kit for $20.
2. ReVIVE Solar ReStore charger
This $25 item is a battery pack that can charge itself up using solar power, wall power, or the USB port. And it charges any USB-charged device. Also includes an LED flashlight. Weighs 3.6 ounces.
3. K-Tor Pocket Socket hand-crank generator
This device says it can power an iPhone, iPad, or any other electronic device that consumes less than 10 watts of electricity. It says 1 minute of cranking gives you 1 minute of talk time–could that be true? $60.
