I’m totally a creature of routine — I do the exact same workout at the gym every other day. Which isn’t the best for my body, plus it can get pretty boring.
So I wanted to find an iPhone app that would give me a random workout each day, yet made sure I focused on all the major muscle groups each time.
Here’s the list of 3 iPhone apps I’m going to try.
1. Daily Workouts, $4 for full version, free for mini version
Create 5- to 30-minute workout routines, plus videos showing you how to do each exercise. Can generate random routines or create your own custom routine.
2. Fitness Pro, free
Has over 450 exercises, with photos. Use a preset workout routine or create your own — or create 7, one for each day of the week.
3. Women’s Health Workouts, $2
From Women’s Health magazine. Includes 16 standard workouts, for different goals, as well as 130 individual exercises. Also includes session timers and rest timers.
