If you own a Mac, iPod, iPhone, or other Apple device, Apple will recycle that piece of hardware for you. Here’s how.
iPod, iPhone, mobile phone
You can bring your iPod to an Apple Store and get 10% off a new one. Or you can sign up on Apple’s website to recycle iPods, iPhones, or any brand of mobile phone—they will send you a prepaid shipping label or prepaid shipping envelope, for free.
Mac
Apple works with PowerON, who will send you a box and prepaid shipping label so you can ship your Mac to them. You need to fill out their online form. If they determine your Mac is worth something, they’ll send you an Apple gift card for that amount.
Batteries
Apple Stores accept Mac batteries for recycling at no charge.
Don’t forget to erase your Mac, iPod, iPhone, or other device before sending it out for recycling! Read more about the Apple Recycling Program on their website.
