We’ve just discovered an amazing new resource for Mac users in NYC who want to improve their Mac skills–it’s called How Lounge.
Many people know that the Apple Store offers a One to One membership, which for $99 gives you a year of training sessions at the store. But what if you can’t get an appointment because they’re all booked up? Or what if you didn’t buy your Mac at an Apple store, and are therefore not eligible for the membership? Or what if you want to learn to use Word, or Ableton, or any other non-Apple software?
Enter How Lounge. Located in Soho, How Lounge offers individual tutorials in their attractive space on Crosby Street. They can set up a session focused on your individual needs, including:
- Basic Mac OS X system
- iPad and iPhone
- Apple Mail, iCal, Address Book
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
- iPhoto, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom
- iMovie, Final Cut Pro, After Effects
- Dreamweaver, WordPress
- iTunes, GarageBand, Logic Pro, Ableton
- And lots more
Many of the trainers are former Apple Store Genius Bar folks, and others are pursuing careers in film and music, so they know their stuff. And are nice besides.
You can even schedule a session online–no need to pick up the phone!
