I just found a company, Merrick Management & Media Services, that focuses specifically on providing virtual assistants with lots of Mac computer expertise. The company is located in Tennessee! (Although the VAs could be anywhere, certainly–that’s the beauty of it.)

Some of the stuff they do:

• Graphic design work
• Social networking
• Word processing, spreadsheets, proofreading, creating presentations
• Research of various kinds
• Travel, event, & similar planning

And of course they can work in the same Mac programs you’re working in, which can make it so much easier (especially if they’re cleaning up your contacts, or booking appointments for you on your calendar). They can even give you tips on how to be more productive with your own Mac, by suggesting software that they’ve found useful.

If you have ongoing projects that fit into these categories, and you don’t want to hire someone full-time, this service could be quite useful.  They don’t do any real-time work (answering phones, or anything that needs to be done at a specific time).
